Little Grace Childcare Centre is a licensed group childcare facility provides play-based early childhood education for children ages from 2.5 to 5 years old. The Centre is supported by Grace Christian Chapel, a non-profit Christian organization.

Group licensed childcare facility provides cares for children ages 30 months to 5 years old.

Registered BC Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA)

Qualifications

  • BC Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate registered at BC Ministry of Children and Family Development

  • Transcript of Early Childhood Education Assistant program in BC recognized Educational Institution

Other Qualifications

  • Current First Aid Certificate

  • Criminal Records Check clearance

  • Up-to-date immunization record

  • Fluency in the English language (oral and written)

  • Strong work ethic with well developed interpersonal skills

  • Dedicated to love and care for young children

  • Strong knowledge and awareness of the BC Early Learning Framework and BC Child Care Licensing Regulations

  • Willingness to learn with commitment to professional development

  • Cooperate as part of a team within the Christ-centered education environment

  • Information for 3 Character References

Additional Qualifications

  • Professional and Pastoral references

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma

Required Experience

  • With Minimum 1-year experience working with a variety of cultures in an inclusive child care setting

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate activities and experiences (including circle time, phonics, early numeracy, music rhythm & movement, scientific reasoning, and creative art and craft) aligned with the centre’s philosophy.

  • Observe children and discover their interests and devise ways to scaffold their learning.

  • Provide positive guidance, care and supervision; ensure healthy and safe learning environments.

  • Create and maintain positive relationships with children, families and staff.

  • Demonstrate positive adult/child interaction with love and care.

  • Provide light housekeeping, lunch supervisions and nap-time preparations
